RANKS:
Leader- the leader of the clan who receives nine lives from StarClan, if accepted. A leader can have a strong connection with StarClan. Leaders are the cats who perform ceremonies before the Clan, make announcements, and lead the Clan into battle. A leader must have had at least one apprentice!
Deputy- the second-in-command of the leader. The deputy often assigns patrols and takes
care of the camp while the leader is away. A warrior may not be appointed as deputy until they have had their first apprentice!
Medicine Cat- the spiritual leader of the Clan, who looks to StarClan and share dreams. Akin to shamans, their Clan is to be considered their family and therefore forbids them to have a mate or kits. They are also responsible for learning all of the herbs and acts as a healer to the Clan. Only cats who show special talent in healing herbs or a special connection with StarClan become medicine cats, though it has been known for a medicine cat apprentice to switch to a warrior apprentice after consulting the leader of the Clan.
Warrior- cats who have completed their six moons of hunting and battle training and are full members of the Clan. They can lead the patrols like the leader and deputy.
Apprentice- cats who are 6-12 moons and are learning the ways of the Clan and the warrior code. They are expected to listen to their mentors, clean dens, and clean the elders of ticks. They cannot lead patrols at this rank. (6-12 moons)
Queen- a she-cat who is expecting or nursing kittens and stays in the nursery until her kits leave the den as apprentices. She is expected to care for and watch her kittens and make sure they don't get into trouble.
Kit- the kittens of the Clan who are not allowed to leave the camp or train. They primarily stay with the queens. (0-6 moons)
Elder- warriors who have served their clan for many moons and are ready to retire to the elder's den. Warriors who are injured beyond repair also will join the elders.
Deputy- the second-in-command of the leader. The deputy often assigns patrols and takes
care of the camp while the leader is away. A warrior may not be appointed as deputy until they have had their first apprentice!
